What is Naari Shakti?
Naari Shakti is a women’s collective supported by the NGO Each One Teach One. Through craft — especially macramé and handmade accessories — we empower women to gain financial independence, confidence, and purpose. But our work goes beyond income. We also focus on personal development and emotional growth. With the help of life coaches and mentors, our women participate in sessions on communication skills, self-esteem, conflict resolution, and vulnerability — building not just better artisans, but stronger individuals.
Where is Naari Shakti based?
We operate out of a dedicated space in Okhla Basti, Delhi, where women come together to learn, create, and grow.
Who makes the products?
All Naari Shakti products are handmade by women from the community. Each piece reflects the skill, care, and personal journey of its maker.
What is the vision of Naari Shakti?
Our vision is to build a self-sustaining, women-led community where each woman uplifts the next. Every product sold helps support not just one artisan — but her journey toward independence and confidence.

Yes. We welcome custom and bulk orders — for weddings, events, corporate gifting, or special occasions.

Can individuals volunteer or get involved?
Yes! Volunteers help with mentorship, skill-sharing, training, or event support. Reach out to us if you'd like to be part of the journey.
Are your artisans trained beforehand?
Most of our artisans join without any prior training. We provide hands-on learning, from craft techniques to financial literacy and teamwork.
How many women are part of Naari Shakti?
Naari Shakti currently includes 18 women from the Okhla Basti community. Of these, 8 are actively earning through production work, while 10 are in training, building the skills and confidence needed to begin their own income journey.
Can I visit the space or volunteer in person?
Yes. We welcome visitors, collaborators, and volunteers who are respectful of the space and the women. If you’re interested in visiting our Okhla Basti center, observing the work, or volunteering your time and skills, please contact us in advance to schedule your visit.

Yes! We collaborate with designers, schools, corporates, and creative teams to co-create meaningful handcrafted elements.
Can groups or institutions request custom work?
Absolutely. We regularly produce custom pieces for events, weddings, exhibitions, gifting, and special projects.
Do you take part in exhibitions or melas?
Yes — we proudly participate in fairs, pop-ups, and exhibitions such as the AWA Mela, where our artisans present and sell their work.
